Secretary's Report

Mr Chairman, It gives me great pleasure in presenting my report for the end of a very successful year for the EABA.

This is due to the efforts of each Committee Member whether it be Coaching, Referees, ABC Tournaments and all Organisers of the Home and International Tournaments. Not forgetting all Members who took part.

We have also seen the Junior Section really come of age and several members will make their presence felt this year in the Senior Ranks.

Well done to Roger Clark and his Junior Committee.

Thank you for nominating me to Referee the Final of the English Championship, I have waited 27 years for this honour and was really pleased to be chosen. I think we can safely say patience is a virtue.

World Championship 2005: The Association announced our intention to stage this prestigious event on the Web Site in January 2004.

As Secretary I have not had one single enquiry regarding it.

Thank you once Again for having me and long may the EABA prosper.

Treasurers Report

Mr S. Crosland commenced his report by stating that we had achieved the anticipated target and our current bank balance stood at £3616:81. The accounts were audited and found correct by Mr R. Slee dated 14-4-04. Copies of the accounts were handed out to all members in attendance. This copy attached to AGM Report.

Junior Game

The Report given by Mr R. Clark consists of three pages which is attached.

Extracts taken from this report are as follows. Many thanks to their Sponsor Mr Tony Keeling from the players and the Association.

Thanks also to the Referees and the EABA for their help and support Of the Junior Section throughout the year.

Referees Section

Mr C. Scott reported a most successful season with thanks to all the members.

The Amateur Billiard Player Magazine

Mr Paul Dunning stated that, regretfully, the decision had been made during the course of the season to cease the publication of the magazine. All avenues had been explored to keep the magazine alive, but a publisher with the required expertise had failed to materialise.

All subscriptions had been returned and once all cheques have been cleared, any balance in the ABP account will be transferred into the main funds.

It was requested that thanks should be recorded to Mr Roger Morgan for transcribing copies of the magazine for the website. Thanks to Mr Peter Ainsworth for all his involvement in the magazine have previously been recorded.
