Teesside Round-up
Teesside Boy’s League
Robin Wilson won his fourth and final Ralph Macklin Trophy
title in record breaking style. The Boys League under 15 title
went to the 14 year old in addition to his previously won
League individual title.
The reigning English under 19 champion made a 30 minute
score of 341 points with breaks of 48,42,37 and 47 surpassing
the previous record score of 331 made by Chris Shutt in 1992
by a player of that age.
Robin now holds every record score and break made by a
player by age from the time he has been involved with the
league since he started when he was aged 7 years. He was
unbeaten in every league match played in the season with a
highest score of 324, averaging over 222 points from the 26
games of 30 minutes duration.
Friendly League
Jeff McKeown took the Teesside Club’s Friendly League
individual championship by defeating Robin Wilson in the
final. Jeff had previously overcome Darren Kell in the semifinal.
