NORTHANTS BILLIARDS LEAGUE
INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP
TEENAGER Dean Bavister proved to be on
cue when he remained unbeaten to win the
Northants Handicap Billiards League.
The 15-year-old, who plays off scratch, won all
ten matches to take the trophy for the second time
from an 11-strong field which included six juniors.
The Raunds Cuesports youngster also
achieved the league record of 369 points for an
hour-long match – an achievement more familiar to
amateurs twice his age.
Terry Smith was runner-up after a hard- fought
contest with Dave Humphrey in the play-off, with a
40 break from Smith deciding the match.
